Wills
The Importance of Wills
According to the Australian Executor Trustees one in every three South Australians does not have a Will.
Why should you have a will?
By having a Will you can be assured that your assets will be distributed according to your wishes. This saves your family and friends from heartache & unnecessary hardship.
Who should have a Will?
It is recommended that all people over the age of 18 years make a Will.
What should be covered in a Will?
One of the important functions of a Will is the naming of an executor. This person or organisation is responsible for the collection and distribution of your assets. Your Will should name your beneficiaries and give clear instruction on the division of your assets.
Your Will may also state any wishes you have regarding setting up a perpetual trust or any instruction giving a life interest in real estate or investments owned by you.
Parents of young children may choose to name a guardian.
Instructions regarding funeral arrangements or monuments may also be included in your Will.
To organise your Will you can arrange a free, no obligation appointment with Lester at our office or your Accountant's office. Call 08 8338 5155 to arrange an appointment. |
